Private Beach
Private beach access, situated a few meters away from the hotel at Surfside Lido, open from May to October.
The free private beach access is free of charge for all our guests this summer. Situated a few meters away from the hotel, there is direct access to the sea. Free deckchairs and sun shades are provided to all guests. Day tickets can be collected from reception and towels are available at a minimal charge. There is also a bar and restuarant on the premises and custoumers are to pay for these services at same venue. Malta & Gozo Package

This package is set up in collaboration with Stones Hotels Ltd, San Andrea Hotel in Gozo and Harbourair Seaplanes.
The package is based on a seven night stay on the Maltese Islands and gives you the opportunity to discover the diversity between our two main islands, Malta and Gozo. With the collaboration of Harbourair Seaplanes you will reach the island by means of the Seaplane instead of the local ferries. This will give you the opportunity to see the beauty of Malta from Air, including the four main islands, Malta, Comino, Cominetto and Gozo, and travel between the islands in the most convenient and efficient way.

May we kindly inform you that during the winter months between November and March the seaplane does not operate and therefore transfers between the two islands is done by the Gozo ferries.

"Excellent Hotel, good location, and take the sea plane package!”
We wanted to see as much as possible during our holiday to Malta, and The Diplomat Hotel offered a package staying there for two days then transferring to another hotel in Gozo for two days, before returing again to the Diplomat for the remainder of our holiday. The transfer was via sea-plane and I have to say this was a fantastic experience and I would recommend it to anyone. The views over the island were fabulous, and having the sea plane entirely to ourselves for the return trip made this a truly memorable holiday. All of the subsequent transfers to and from the sea plane terminals and hotels were co-ordinated and timed to perfection by the Diplomat staff, who could not be more helpful. The Diplomat itself is a good four star hotel, excellent food (we stayed half board), and nice rooms. If I had anything negative to say, the pool is abit on the small side, but was always empty when we swam up there on the roof in the evenings. We stayed in Marselform on Gozo, in the Beach Hotel, which was just a three star, but totally adequate for a couple of nights and great staff, again. Definately hire a jeep if you go to Gozo, you can see the whole island in a couple of days easily - The Azure Window is not to be missed! The Diplomat in Silema is conveniently located for buses to Valletta from where you can travel to anywhere on the island very cheaply. Malta is a super place to take a holiday, and I would recommend it to anyone.

Diving Package.....the urge to submerge!
For all those who wish to discover the
underwater world around the Maltese islands, we are offering a special package consisting of a 7 night stay on bed and breakfast basis and either a 2 day PADI open water diving course for beginners or a 6 dive package for the already qualified divers.
PADI open water diving course - this will take 2 days and includes 3 academic sessions, 3 shallow water diving sessions and 2 open water diving sessions up to a maximum of 12 metres. The course includes the use of all the necesary diving equipment and transport to the dive sites. Extra to the course and payable at the diving centre are the course manual at Eur44.00 and the course certificate of Eur35.00.
For the already qualified divers we are offering 6 guided dives in 3 days which include a selection of dives in caves and reefs. This package includes the use of tank, weights and transport to the dive sites.

Stay and Sail Package
For those who wish to explore the seas around the Maltese islands, we are offering a special package consisting of a 7 night stay on bed and breakfast basis and a whole day of sailing on board of one of our yachts.
The sailing trip aboard the 16 mtrs/50 feet yacht Beneteau Cyclades 50.5 starts at 0930 hrs, departing from Valletta harbour and will sail to the north of the island, stopping at Paradise Bay in Malta and at the Blue Lagoon and Cyrstal Lagoon in Comino. An option light lunch with wine and water can be prebooked to be served here. You will return to Valletta harbour at 1730 hrs.
